How long do your sauces & base gravy last?

Our sauces come in a special pouch packaging that keep it fresh without the need for refrigeration. Unopened pouches can be stored in a cool, dark, and dry cupboard away from sunlight and will last until the best before date, which is usually 1 to 3 months. You can also freeze unopened pouches for up to 6 months. Once opened, please refrigerate and consume within 3 days or freeze the unused sauce for up to 3 months.

How is the shelf life achieved?

We achieve the shelf life of our sauces, base gravy and pastes through a process similar to canning. This involves a combination of heat treatment, special pouch packaging, and the natural acidity of the product. This method allows us to avoid using any additional additives or preservatives, ensuring you get a fresh and natural product.

What is the difference between your sauces and pastes?

Our heat and eat sauces are ready to use, you simply add your choice of meat and veg and heat. Our pastes require the addition of other ingredients such as spices and base gravy - check out our recipes section for detailed recipes on how to use them.
