Cooking instructions

Simply heat the sauce with your choice of pre-cooked meat, fish, paneer or vegetables

All appliances vary. These are guidelines only. Check food is piping hot before serving.

TIP: Cook the sauce uncovered or partially covered to allow steam to escape and sauce to thicken. Cook for a little longer to thicken the sauce to your desired consistency and achieve a deeper flavour.

Chicken Masala using PRE-COOKED chicken

  1. Add the sauce and pre-cooked chicken and simmer gently for 5-10 minutes or until chicken is piping hot throughout and sauce thickened. Serve with rice.

Take a look at our pre-cooked chicken recipe or try using shop bought chicken tikka pieces.

Chicken Masala using FRESH chicken

  1. Dice 2 chicken breasts (300g) and gently fry in a little oil for 3 minutes (optionally add ½ teaspoon garlic and ginger paste and ½ teaspoon mix powder to improve flavour of the chicken).
  2. Add the sauce and simmer gently for 10-15 minutes or until chicken is cooked through and sauce thickens. Serve with rice.
Storage instructions

Store in a cool, dark, dry place. See pouch for best before date. Once opened refrigerate & use within 3 days. Do not use if pouch is bloated or leaking.

  4. Excellent really lovely sauce

  6. As lovely as always

  7. I used the ready made Masala Sauce to make a quick Chicken Tikka Masala for dinner and the family absolutely loved it, even my daughter who can be a fussy eater !!!! Already been told that I need to buy more !!!!

  8. Beautiful flavours, and thickened up into a lovely rich sauce on simmering. One star off because for me I found it very sweet. Maybe that’s just me,as it’s not mentioned in many of the other reviews. I’d be interested to have advice from East about what I could add to make it less sweet. Lime juice? Tamarind?

  9. I made Chicken Tikka Masla using the ready made sauce last night and the family absolutely loved it ! My son who had already eaten couldn’t get enough of the sauce so sat down again with us for his second dinner. My daughter who is a bit of a fussy eater polished off her plater !!!! I’ve already been told to get some more of the sauces so will definitely be stocking up on all of the other sauces !!!!

  10. Daughters favourite curry and she was very happy. Will be ordering again

  14. What a loverly tasting sauce

  15. I didn’t actually have this 1 but had similar results from the family saying it was to watery

    • Hi Andrew, thank you for your feedback. If you cook the sauce without a lid and allow the steam to escape this will help thicken up the sauce. Also cooking for slightly longer will also help thicken up and reduce the sauce down and develop a richer, deeper flavour.

  16. Was nice
