Cooking instructions

Simply heat the sauce with your choice of pre-cooked meat, fish, paneer or vegetables

Check food is piping hot before serving.

TIP: Cook the sauce uncovered or partially covered to allow steam to escape and sauce to thicken. Cook for a little longer to thicken the sauce to your desired consistency and achieve a deeper flavour.

Using PRE-COOKED chicken

  1. Add the sauce and pre-cooked chicken and simmer gently for 5-10 minutes or until chicken is piping hot throughout and sauce thickened. Serve with rice.

Take a look at our pre-cooked chicken recipe or try using shop bought chicken tikka pieces.

Using FRESH chicken

  1. Dice 2 chicken breasts (300g) and gently fry in a little oil for 3 minutes (optionally add ½ teaspoon garlic and ginger paste and ½ teaspoon mix powder to improve flavour of the chicken).
  2. Add the sauce and simmer gently for 10-15 minutes or until chicken is cooked through and sauce thickens. Serve with rice.
Storage instructions

Store in a cool, dark, dry place. See pouch for best before date. Once opened refrigerate & use within 3 days. Do not use if pouch is bloated or leaking.

    Very Tasty

  7. Brian Garner (verified buyer)

From previous purchases I know these are good.
The complimentary Jalfrezi sauce was very overpowering, however after adding a pouch of base sauce it settled it down and was rather good.

Absolutely great , now about to make third order

After initially being disappointed with taste of the sauces I contacted East at Home who advised that I should try reducing the sauces down to enhance the flavours. I tried this and enjoyed the rest of my order. The flavours really did get better

Not as good as the reviews suggest ( in my opinion) , lacked that Madras zig , the Madras hit just wasn’t there it lacked that spice kick the heat of a Madras , The sauce is quick and easy to use , not tried the Massala or Korma yet as Madras is my preferred curry of choice , would not say I wouldn’t buy again but I do try other brands in a hope that I can find a sauce that taste like the real thing , as stated this is only my opinion and my taste ( which as you are aware everyone’s taste is different) , but for me I was slightly disappointed as love a good Madras

Tried various sauces from other companies/ makers , sorry to say but had the Madras sauce and I was a little disappointed by the flavour/ taste , my curry of choice is Madras and love to cook it as well , but sadly to say I will have to keep looking as not for me , I was hoping after reading the reviews and write up this could be the one but alas afraid not , thanks for a prompt service on the delivery, would just like to say not tried the others in the bundle yet but will be given them ago at some point

Hi David, thanks for the feedback. If you cook the madras sauce for a little bit longer and with the lid off so that steam can evaporate the sauce will reduce down more and the flavours will become richer and deeper.

Have used the korma and madras so far and they were extremely good. I cook a lot of Indian dishes from scratch which obviously takes a very long time. These sauces cut time down to the length of time it takes to boil rice and taste almost 😉 as good as mine! Well worth the price.
